The definition
A 22% panel converts about a fifth of the sunlight hitting it into electricity. Higher efficiency means the same rated watts in a smaller, lighter package — which is why efficiency and portability usually rise together in our table.
The reality
Angle, temperature, haze, and cable losses all take their cut; expect well under rated watts outside lab conditions. Two panels rated identically can still differ in the field — that's why we score the spec but tell you here to plan with margin.
The data
Sorted by conversion efficiency (%), highest first. Missing specs show as — and are excluded from that model's score with the remaining weights rescaled. Full formula on the methodology page ↗
